Red Carpet Green Dress launched today, a global dress design contest launched by Suzy Amis Cameron in 2009 which will see a winning sustainable dress design worn on the red carpet at the 84th Academy Awards by a surprise Hollywood actress. Samata Angel, Global Campaign Director of Red Carpet Green Dress won the contest in February 2011 and is currently running the campaign for Suzy Amis Cameron.

Fashion and beauty mag InStyle commissioned leading designers to each create a short film exploring style. ‘Film InStyle’ in association with Land Rover celebrated InStyle Magazine’s 10th Anniversary at The Sanctum Soho Hotel. Nicola Roberts, Pixie Geldof, Gillian Anderson, Pixie Geldof, Christian Louboutin and Henry Holland were in attendance to catch the premiere of exclusive fashion movies created by top designers Christian Louboutin, House of Holland, Diane von Furstenberg, Mulberry, Zac Posen, Paul Smith and Roberto Cavalli.
Other stars at the party included Diana Vickers, Millie Mackintosh, Samata Angel, stylist Grace Woodward, Sunday Girl, Alice Temperley and Jameela Jamil.
Samata Angel attended the ‘Stepping Up in the City 2011′ event in Los Angeles alongside Brand Ambassador Daniella Peters who sits on the board of the network. Organised by the Step Up Women’s Network and Elle Magazine Event. The Network is a national, nonprofit membership organization dedicated to connecting and advancing women and girls by bridging communities of professional women and underserved teen girls through mentorship, networking and advancement.
Also in attendance were Tatyana Ali, Lacey Chabert and Jennifer Freeman.
